No multi-touch touchpad. No thanks. I will be getting the Samsung NC10
I purchased the NC10 back in December and have to say that I’m very pleased with it. The keyboard and battery life are two of the great features that pushed me to purchase the NC10. The only minor complaint on the NC10 is the small touchpad. There is no lip around the edge of the touch pad. This makes if difficult to feel when your finger slides off the touch pad.
Steve, do you have any experience with the ASUS 1000HE. Just wondering how much difference the extra weight really makes.
Hi Joe, The 1000HE is a hot product that is very close to the NC1o. I posted an article a few weeks ago found here. http://netbookscoop.com/asus-eeepc-1000he-wins-netbook-madness-contest/
The 3 pound weight does not make that big a difference to me. The 6 or 7 hour battery life makes up for the slight extra weight. We are looking at possibly doing a hands on review here in the next few weeks. The article I posted shows a side by side comparison of the nc10 and 1000HE. LaptopMag ran a contest in April and the viewers voted the 1000HE as the laptop of choice. Hope this helps. – Steve
