As we predicted back in December, Asus Chairman Jonney Shih announced at the CeBit technology show that the company would soon be removing the 7-inch models of the Eee PC from their product catalog.

The 7-inch models of the Eee PC (models 700, 701 and 702) were the original versions of the Eee PC.  These were the products that started the netbook craze.

While it is sad to see their production come to an end.  They will live on in our memories (as well as on eBay and Craig’s List) for a long time.
