Since the birth of the Intel Atom processor it seems like the netbook market has just boomed. One of the problems that I see in the market place today is that everyone keeps releasing the same thing over and over again. LG, Intel and others are now getting ready to join in on the hot netbook market, but they really aren’t bringing anything new to the market.
If you look at the specs you will see the Intel Atom N270 or N280 processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB Hard Drive, 1.3 Mega pixel Webcam…… You get the point! Now Asus, HP, Samsung, and MSi have all stepped it up a little bit and are trying to offer a slightly higher netbook.
The Asus N10J, MSI Meron VR220, and the HP Pavilion Dv2 all offer different things to the consumer. These are some of the higher end netbooks and they give you a variety with different processors, bigger LCDs, more memory, and bigger hard drives.
Now here at Netbook Scoop we see a lot of interest in the higher end models. When it comes to what people purchase, it seems like the $300 to $450 price range seem to be what people want to spend on a netbook.
So with the bulk of netbooks being in this price range the question I have is what main feature on a netbook is most important to you? Netbooks have slightly different keyboards, weights, Operating Systems, and the Intel Atom N270 or N280 processors. When deciding on your purchase what small difference on a model makes the final deciding factor for you?
