Who Can Enter?
The Giveaway is open to any resident of the USA who is at least 18 years old with the following exceptions:
- You cannot be a member of the immediate or extended family of Tom and/or Steve Greer (the editors of Netbook Scoop).
- You cannot be an employee (or a member of their immediate family) of any company that manufactures or sells netbooks.
How To Enter
To enter, simply subscribe to our newsletter by entering the required information in the “Subscribe to Our Newsletter” form that appears on a number of different places on the NetbookScoop.com website.
To verify the information, an email will be sent to the email address provided. The email will provide a confirmation link. You must click on this link and visit the confirmation page to complete the entry process and be entered into the Giveaway.
Personal information provided at any point during the Giveaway is subject to our Privacy Policy.
Signup for our Giveaway starts on Tuesday, May 19. The closing date for entries is May 30 at midnight Eastern Time.
Each person may enter only once. Duplicate entries will be discarded.
Prize
The prize is an Asus Eee PC 1000HE (Blue).
This unit will have been opened and used by the staff of Netbook Scoop for a period of no more than two weeks for the purpose of reviewing the netbook.
Netbook Scoop will endeavor to keep the unit as pristine as possible, however, the unit will be provided in an as-is condition without recourse.
The unit will be returned in its original package and shipped to the winner at no-charge to any address within the USA.
Drawing and Notification
On May 31, we will select one entry at random.
The winner will be notified via the email address submitted at entry time.
After being notified, the winner has 15 days to respond, verify their eligibility and provide an address to which the netbook is to be shipped. If the winner fails to respond within 15 days, Netbook Scoop will draw another winner at random.
Other Conditions
By participating in the Giveaway, the winner agrees to permit Netbook Scoop to publish their name as well as the city and state in which they reside.
By accepting the prize, the winner will release Netbook Scoop from any liability relating to the contest and the prize.
Netbook Scoop will not be liable for any lost entries. Neither will Netbook Scoop be liable for any technical or other difficulties that arise in relation to conducting this giveaway.
Netbook Scoop retains the right to modify any of these terms and conditions, and even withdraw the Giveaway as it sees fit.
Netbook Scoop also retains the right to reject any entry that it determines to be in violation with the spirit of these terms and conditions (based on their own discretion).
These conditions apply unless prohibited by any federal, state or local laws.
