Micro-Star International (MSI) has announced that they will begin shipping their Wind Mini-Laptop in the USA on July 7.

The Wind Mini-Laptop sports a number of impressive features.
- The screen size is 10 inches in a 1024×600 resolution
- Intel’s new Atom 1.6 GHz processor
- 80 GB hard drive
- 4-in-1 card reader supporting SD/MMC/MS/MSpro
- 1.3 megapixel webcam
- 2.3 lbs (with 3 cell battery)
MSI is configuring the Wind Mini-Laptop with either Microsoft Windows XP or Novell (SuSE) Linux.
The Windows version ships with 1 GB of RAM and includes Bluetooth connectivity.
The Linux version ships with only 512 MB of RAM and Bluetooth connectivity is not included. The Linux version is expected to retail for about $100 less than the Windows version.
Both versions will be available in multiple colors: black, pink and white.
Amazon recently announced that they are accepting orders for the Windows version in black only, priced at $499 (with free shipping).
Update: Mobile Computer Magazine (in the UK) has published a nice 10 minute video on their website that compares the MSI Wind to the Aspire One and Eee PC 901.
