ASUSTek Computer Inc. announced today that the Eee PC 1008HA model will be release for pre-order on May 18.

The Asus Eee PC 1008HA will get it’s official UK release on May 15th.  The 1008HA is going to be Asus’s alternative to the MacBook Air.  This thin little netbook comes with an Atom N280 1.66ghz processor, 1GB RAM, and a 160GB hard drive.

The price in the UK is £379 which would be around $570.00 in the US.  The 1 inch netbook looks to be a nice addition to the very successful Eee PC lineup.

Hopefully we will be seeing it in the US sometime soon!
